Competition

General rules

  • One GPS device being used per registered participant.
  • Registered participant can complete all the races.
  • During the race location tracking must be turned on.
  • During the race traveling is allowed only on foot.
  • The order of the route points can be varied as you wish.
  • Everybody attends at the race at one's own risk. Organizers are couldn't be responsible for any casualty or injury.
  • Littering is forbidden, as well as collecting samples of fauna and flora!

Races

  1. Power Trail
    The goal of the race is to collecting First to Find, Second to Find and Third to Find certificates as many as you can.
    Duration of race: from 10:00 a.m. on 10th of March to 10:00 a.m. on 11th of March (up to 24 hrs).
    Scoring
    First to Find (FTF) earns 5 points.
    Second to Find (STF) earns 2 points.
    Third to Find (TTF) earns 1 points.
    The three highest scoring participants will receive a prize.
  2. Professional category
    The goal of the race is to find 17 caches from 19 as quickly as possible.
    Duration of the race: from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 10th of March, (up to 6 hrs).
    Race starts between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. with individual timing cycles.
    Race distance is up to 12-15 kilometers (depending on routing strategy).
    The three fastest participants will receive a prize.
  3. Amateur category
    The goal of the race is to find all of the 9 caches as quickly as possible (recommended for families, students and undergraduetes).
    Duration of the race: from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 10th of March, (up to 6 hrs).
    Race starts between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. with individual timing cycles.
    Race distance is up to 1-2 kilometers (depending on routing strategy).
    The three fastest participants will receive a prize.
  4. Games with GPS (treasure finding, adventure game, orientation game)
    - Backtracking
    You have to follow an uploaded track as precisely as it is possible, and you have to answer some questions.
    - Inverse caching
    You will get 10 photos. You have to find the places where the photos were taken and make a note about the coordinates.
    - Distance measurement
    You have to walk a randomly given distance (about 200-400 m) without your GPS device.
    - High-tech challenge
    You will need many electronic devices to carry out the challenge. (For example: GPS device with chirp, mobile phone with QR-Code reader software, wireless Internet device, MP3 player, etc.)
